Ahmed Ololade (born January 13, 1995) was born in Lagos State, Nigeria. He is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He is professionally known as Asake. Asake pays tribute to his mother, Asake, through his stage name. He is currently signed to YBNL Nation and Empire Distribution. Asake's music career began to gain traction in 2020 when he released his single "Mr. Money," which was followed by a remix featuring Zlatan and Peruzzi. However, it was his single "Lady" that helped him break into the industry and gain a significant following.
In February 2022, Asake signed with YBNL Records, which was founded by Nigerian rapper and songwriter Olamide. The same month, he released his debut extended play, Ololade, which included his breakout hit "Omo Ope" featuring Olamide. The EP also featured "Sungba," which was remixed a month later with a verse from Nigerian superstar Burna Boy. In July 2022, Asake signed a distribution deal with Empire, further solidifying his place in the music industry.
