Blackpink Bio & Journey

Blackpink is a South Korean girl group that was formed in 2016 by YG Entertainment. The group consists of four members: Jisoo (vocalist), Jennie (rapper, vocalist), Rosé (vocalist, dancer), and Lisa (dancer, rapper, vocalist). They are known for their high-energy performances, catchy songs, and fierce fashion.

Before their debut, each member of Blackpink had undergone extensive training in singing, dancing, and rapping. The group made their debut on August 8, 2016, with the release of their single album, "Square One," which included their hit songs "Whistle" and "Boombayah." The album was a commercial success, with "Whistle" topping the charts in South Korea and "Boombayah" becoming the most-watched debut music video by a K-pop group on YouTube.

Following their debut, Blackpink released their first EP, "Square Up," in 2018, which included the songs "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" and "Forever Young." The EP debuted at number 40 on the US Billboard 200, making Blackpink the highest-charting female K-pop group at the time. In 2019, the group released their second EP, "Kill This Love," which featured the title track of the same name, and was another commercial success, debuting at number 24 on the Billboard 200.
