He has become a prominent figure in the Italian music scene and has sold more than 2.3 million certified copies throughout his career. His career began in 1995 when he recorded his first demo. He later joined forces with DJ Lato to create the tandem Uomini di Mare, and together they produced the underground CD Dei del mare quest'el gruv in 1996.

in 1999, Fabri and Lato produced and distributed the LP Sindrome di fine millennio ("End of Millennium Syndrome") with collaborations from El Presidente (also known as Esa), Inoki, Joe Cassano, and his brother Nesli.
