Park Ji-min (born October 13, 1995) was born in Geumjeong District, Busan, South Korea. He is a South Korean singer and dancer. He is professionally known as Jimin (지민). He made his debut as a member of the iconic South Korean boy band BTS in 2013, under the label of Big Hit Entertainment. Throughout his career, Jimin has achieved significant success as a solo artist, with three of his solo tracks, "Lie" (2016), "Serendipity" (2017), and "Filter" (2020), all charting on South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart.
In addition, he released his first credited solo song, "Promise," in 2018, which he co-wrote. Jimin also recorded a duet titled "With You" with Ha Sung-woon for the soundtrack of the TvN drama Our Blues in 2022.
In 2023, Jimin featured on Taeyang's single "Vibe" and released his highly-anticipated debut album, "Face," which received widespread acclaim from fans and critics alike. Jimin's vocal abilities have been described as delicate and sweet, with a unique tone that sets him apart from his peers. He is considered one of the most exceptional dancers in K-pop and among the members of BTS, often praised for his smooth and elegant movements and charming stage presence.
