Joel Pimentel de León, professionally known as Joel DELEŌN, is a Mexican-American singer born on February 28, 1999. He rose to fame in 2015 as a contestant on La Banda, a show aimed at creating a Latin boy band. Joel competed before judges Ricky Martin, Alejandro Sanz, and Laura Pausini. He was selected alongside Christopher Vélez, Richard Camacho, Erick Brian Colón, and Zabdiel de Jesús to form CNCO, a group that signed a five-year deal with Sony Music Latin.

With CNCO, Joel contributed to hit albums like Primera Cita (2016) and CNCO (2018), featuring popular tracks like “Reggaetón Lento (Bailemos),” which gained over a billion YouTube views. He also co-wrote songs like “Bonita” and “No Me Sueltes.” The group’s EP Qué Quiénes Somos (2019) showcased their songwriting growth, while Déjà Vu (2021) paid homage to classic Latin songs.
