Lee Ha-yi (born September 23, 1996) was born in Bucheon, Gyeonggi, South Korea. She is a South Korean singer and songwriter. She is professionally known as Lee Hi. She first gained recognition as the runner-up on the reality show K-pop Star 1. Shortly after, she signed with YG Entertainment and made her debut on October 28, 2012, with the single "1, 2, 3, 4." The song quickly became a hit, reaching number one with 667,549 downloads in its first week.
Lee Hi's first full-length album, First Love, was released in two parts in March 2013. The album showcased her soulful voice and established her as a prominent figure in the K-pop industry.
