Maty Noyes, born Madeline Ashley Noyes on August 27, 1997, in Corinth, Mississippi, is an American singer-songwriter known for her soulful voice and unique style. Signed to Lava/Republic Records at just 17, Noyes caught the attention of CEO Jason Flom, who compared her talent to that of Lorde. Her early independent releases were removed to focus on her major-label debut.
Noyes first gained recognition in 2015 as a featured artist on The Weeknd's track "Angel" from Beauty Behind the Madness. That same year, she released her first solo single, “Charge It To The Game.” Her collaboration with Kygo on "Stay" marked her first charting success. In 2016, her breakout single, "In My Mind," became a hit, amassing over 100 million Spotify streams. This track led her debut EP, Noyes Complaint, which included five songs and showcased her emotional and vibrant sound.
In 2017, Noyes released singles "London" and "Say It To My Face," which highlighted her evolving artistry. The next year, she dropped her second EP, Love Songs From a Lolita, featuring tracks like "Lava Lamps" and "ροrn Star." The project received praise for its blend of vulnerability and daring themes. After leaving Lava Records in 2018, Noyes signed with MITS Records, continuing to craft music with her signature bold style.
Since joining MITS, she has released singles like "Love Don't Cost a Thang" and "Sunlight," both hinting at her anticipated debut album. Critics often commend her for her mature sound and fearless exploration of emotions in her music. With a blend of pop, R&B, and indie influences, Maty Noyes continues to stand out as a rising star in the music industry.
