Rising to fame through songs posted on SoundCloud, Towers initially used the stage name "Mike" but later rebranded as "Myke," combining “Y” and “K” to mean “Young Kingz.” His unique style and talent earned him a Latin Grammy nomination and recognition as Billboard Latin Music Awards' New Artist of the Year in 2021.
