Palaye Royale Biography
Palaye Royale is a rock band from Las Vegas, formed in 2008 by brothers Remington Leith (vocals), Sebastian Danzig (guitar/organ), and Emerson Barrett (drums). Initially named Kropp Circle, they released an EP and a few singles before rebranding to Palaye Royale in 2011. The band's unique blend of fashion-forward, theatrical art rock helped them gain attention in the music scene. They quickly built a loyal fanbase, known as the "Soldiers of their Royal Council."
Palaye Royale's music has been described as a mix of glam, punk, and rock, often featuring energetic performances and bold visual aesthetics. After independently releasing a few singles and an EP, they signed with Sumerian Records in 2015. Their debut album, Boom Boom Room (Side A), was released in 2016, followed by Boom Boom Room (Side B) in 2018. These albums earned the band critical acclaim for their distinctive style and captivating live shows.
The band’s 2020 album, The Bastards, marked a significant milestone in their career, receiving praise for its raw emotion and musical depth. They experimented with new sounds while staying true to their theatrical roots. Their music continues to resonate with fans worldwide, drawing inspiration from a range of influences, including classic rock and modern punk.
In recent years, the band has undergone some lineup changes, with Jennie Vee replacing their former bassist. Vee has contributed to their live performances, adding a new dynamic to the band’s already energetic stage presence.
Palaye Royale gained national recognition when they won MTV’s 2014 Musical March Madness, defeating major acts like Linkin Park, which solidified their place in the rock scene. Their success can be attributed to both their unique sound and the passionate support of their dedicated fans.
