Sia Bio & Journey

Sia Kate Isobelle Furler (born December 18, 1975) was born in Adelaide, South Australia. She is an Australian singer and songwriter and animal rights activist. She is professionally known as Sia. She started her music career in the mid-1990s as a singer in the acid jazz band Crisp.

Following the band's disbandment in 1997, Sia released her debut studio album, OnlySee, in Australia. She then moved to London and provided vocals for the British duo Zero 7. In 2001, Sia released her second studio album, Healing Is Difficult, followed by her third, Colour the Small One, in 2004.

In 2005, Sia relocated to New York City and embarked on a tour across the United States. Her fourth and fifth studio albums, Some People Have Real Problems and We Are Born, were both released in 2008 and 2010 respectively, and were certified gold by the Australian Recording Industry Association. They also received wider recognition than her earlier works. However, Sia felt uncomfortable with the growing fame and decided to take a hiatus from performing, focusing on songwriting instead. She produced successful collaborations with David Guetta on "Titanium," Rihanna on "Diamonds," and Flo Rida on "Wild Ones."
