Wage War, a metalcore band from Ocala, Florida, formed in 2010 under the name Empires. The group quickly gained attention with their raw energy and musical skill. The original lineup included Briton Bond (vocals), Seth Blake (lead guitar), Cody Quistad (rhythm guitar/clean vocals), Chris Gaylord (bass), and Stephen Kluesener (drums). They debuted with the EP The Fall of Kings in 2011, which set the stage for their rise in the metalcore scene.

In 2015, Wage War signed with Fearless Records, marking a turning point in their career. They released their first full-length album, Blueprints, on November 27, 2015. The album was well-received for its mix of intense guitar riffs, aggressive vocals, and thoughtful lyrics. This solidified the band's place in metalcore.

They followed up with Deadweight in 2017, which further showcased their growing musical maturity.
