Cherry Bullet, a South Korean girl group formed by FNC Entertainment, debuted on January 21, 2019, with the album Let’s Play Cherry Bullet and the title track "Q&A." Initially a 10-member group, their lineup changed in December 2019 when Mi Rae, Kokoro, and Lin Lin left, leaving the group with seven members.

The group made significant strides in 2020 with their digital single “Hands Up,” which marked their first entry on the K-Pop Hot 100 chart. In 2021, Cherry Bullet released their first mini-album, Cherry Rush, featuring the track “Love So Sweet.” The song’s music video received widespread praise for its creative cinematography and unique visuals. Four members—Haeyoon, Jiwon, Remi, and May—decided to terminate their contracts. Meanwhile, Yuju, Bora, and Chaerin chose to remain under FNC Entertainment for individual projects.
